Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Grammar & Style But Didn’t Think It Really Mattered runs August 2-27 and is taught by Annie Oortman. The workshop will “show you how to enhance your writing’s curb appeal to make the most of your writing’s appearance, readability, and impact.”
Also running August 2-27 is Courting the Muse with instructor Tawny Weber, billed as Practical and Spiritual Tools for Writers: The art of recognizing, then making the most of your writing habits. In addition, this workshop will show you ways to use tools like aromatherapy, Feng Shui and the tarot to empower your writing, and yourself on the road to success.

Hearts through History Romance Writers present two workshops in its August Campus line-up.
Gamblers and Lightskirts: Vice in the Old West will be taught by Jacquie Rogers, August 8-21. This class is about “entertainment” in the Old West, including gambling and prostitution.
Beyond Research: Fact and Fiction for the Historical Romance Author, by Carrie Lofty, will run August 8 – 21. How do you integrate your historical research into a steamy, compelling, tear-jerking, rip-roaring novel? How much detail is enough? What to keep and what to ditch?
