Member News was not only over-shadowed by chapter business one week, it was derailed for the second week in a row. So sad. This first section is a re-post of a week that was lost in a sea of chapter business.

Thanks to each and every member who wrote to me. This week was a real bonanza for members. For that reason, I will post here to our web site and then post on our Promo-Loop. Double the pleasure for us all.

Lorrie Thomson … Hi, Florence. I am feeling shy about my news, and delighted. Here it is from Publisher’s Lunch:
Lorrie Thomson’s WHAT’S LEFT BEHIND, in which a single mother is still grieving her college-aged son’s tragic death when his girlfriend shows up pregnant on her doorstep, ready to offer her a second chance at motherhood, to Peter Senftleben at Kensington, in a nice deal, in a two-book deal, for publication in 2014, by Jessica Alvarez at BookEnds (World).

Shelley Freydont … Hi Florence. I guess it’s not too early to post this. My e-novella bundle Holidays at Crescent Cove (Avon Impulse) will be available in all e-formats December 11. It includes a Thanksgiving and a Christmas novella which continues the stories of characters from my women’s fiction Beach Colors. Thanks.
The Week That Wasn’t
To bring you up to date on the latest, I am posting this today with good cheer and a Holiday blessing to all those hearty members in our chapter.
Marilyn Brandt … Florence, here’s my WF news:
I was so excited to find out last week that the Polish rights to A SUMMER IN EUROPE just sold! The translated version of the book will be coming out in July/August 2013. It’s the first foreign language edition of one of my WF novels, so I’m really thrilled and can’t wait to hold a copy!! Marilyn.
Janis Susan May … Florence, the staff of Carina Press put out a list of what they as staff chose as the Best of 2012. There were twelve books on the list. Two of them were mine – TIMELESS INNOCENTS (as Janis Susan May) and THE HOLLOW HOUSE (as Janis Patterson.) To say I am proud and thoroughly stunned is an understatement! Susan
Kerry Longsdale … My manuscript THE MEMORY OF YOU (previously titled REMEMBERING AIMEE) took first place in the Novel with Strong Romantic Elements category of the 2012 Rose City Golden Rose Contest. Best, Kerry.
