I definitely agree with this statement. One of the things that draws me to women's history is that women were strong--women are strong--without needing to leap tall buildings in a single bound, or topping a male-dominated industry, etc etc. Sure, those pioneers are amazing and inspiring, but I also appreciate the "normal" women who imbued the strength in their children, which was passed down to their children's children, and so on, until we reach women of today.

Large print rights to LETTERS FROM HOME and BRIDGE OF SCARLET LEAVES sold to Thorndike.

Also, I received a glowing review from Kirkus Reviews:
"A sweeping yet intimate novel that will please both romantics and lovers of American history."

You are wise indeed and fortunate to be sent out in the world wrapped in your father's love. He gave you wonderful memories. We are all faced with insecurity about what ever we do - we are our biggest critic. If we can have someone who believes in us without restrictions and loves us, just because - we are blessed. The hard part is keeping that in your mind. Remember that a writer gives a gift, an escape from life's worries and time for us to step back and breathe as we enter a story. Keep up the good work. If you love what you do and do what you love - the other 'stuff' will just be an added blessing.
